Understanding AI with expert at FPT Smart Cloud

Artificial intelligence, or AI, is currently taking center stage in many global businesses due to the rapid advancement of technology. AI is one of the most actively pursued disciplines, fields of study, and skill sets due to its wide range of potentials and uses.

AI is the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that require human-like intelligence such as learning, problem solving, and decision making. Advances in AI are creating intelligent machines that can mimic human intelligence, helping to automate and optimize processes that were previously impossible.

Artificial intelligence has the advantage of processing and analyzing massive volumes of data rapidly and accurately, which enhances company efficiency and production processes. Additionally, AI has the ability to automate some tasks, saving companies costs, time, and labor. AI may also be extensively used in a variety of industries, including healthcare, education, security, transportation, entertainment, and many more.

However, besides the advantages, artificial intelligence also brings challenges and difficulties. In the process of applying artificial intelligence, we need to ensure the safety and ethics in the use of data and AI solutions. In addition, issues of information security and privacy must also be addressed. Another challenge of AI is its ability to replace humans in some jobs, leading to job losses and uncertainty about the future of labor.

Grasping those opportunities and challenges from AI, FSB Institute of Management & Technology – FPT University organized a seminar “AI to the throne” to bring a panorama from the history to the future of AI; far-reaching effects of AI on people’s lives today; direction and operation of industries around AI and its products and its applications.

The speakers of the seminar were two experts from FPT: FPT Smart Cloud CEO Le Hong Viet – the top 100 most influential people in Vietnam voted by Forbes in 2020 and Mr. Tran The Trung – Director of the Institute of Science & Deputy Head of AI Division.

Along with sharing content about AI trends and their impacts on today’s lives, the speakers will share real-life stories about AI, share their own AI experiences, and answer questions from the audience.

The event is intended for MSE students, corporate executives, and others who are interested, passionate, and want to stay up to speed on the current advancements in artificial intelligence.
